You aren't sure where you're headed. The directions that were supplied were ok, and likely worked well if there was better signage on the road - or you weren't driving at night. Darkness has a way of masking so much of the world. Headlights shining forward you can only see where you are heading, never where you've been or may need to go. 
 
Thankfully your group has a 4X4WARD 3'x5' CAMPING FLAG hung proudly at their site that is illuminated as soon as you come around the bend. Home can mean a lot of things, but here, tonight home is this campfire, flag blowing in the wind behind you.
